Wahl Stainless Steel Combs

These comb attachments are simply the best thing. I love how well they go through the coat and love that they don't pop off like some of those plastic ones

gotta agree with you there! i couldn't use guards before these came out... made me scream!!
the only downside i would say is the metal clips that keep them onto your blade start to bend and weaken with time. but i see they now sell them individually... so you can replace them!

GRRRR......i've noticed lately that my combs are not fitting my blades as well as they used to. They seem to slip over and get caught in the teeth of my blade when i use them which results in a super loud noise and scares the crap out of my and the dog. I'm assuming from being used daily the spring perhaps that holds them on is stretched???? So basically then, there disposable combs!!! Anyone else have any issues like this?

They do stretch after a while so you do have to replace them. If you keep using them when they are doing that they will either break the teeth on the blade or pop off. You can buy idividual ones which is helpful because I know we use certain ones more than the others and have had to replace them. I still love them though Smile

did you try bending the little teeth that grasp onto the blade? that might be a quick fix.

If you use the SS combs on say a 10# (my preference), for quite a few clips, and then move them onto say a 30# ,then yes, they will be a bit sloppy over the 30 #

I have only ever used my combs over a 30, i actually bought two wahl 30"s for this purpose. I talked to the girl at wahl, and she said that i can return the combs to rens and then rens can send them to wahl for a refund.
I haven't done so yet, but i'm going to do that.
