Les pooch brush

Post by gouda on November 24th 2007, 6:08 pm

This is a fantastic brush but very expensive, has anybody tried another flexable brush and if so what did they think of it?

I have only used the les pooch brushes. Love the mat zapper but I find the others to hard to hold for regular brushing.

I think the mat zapper was around $80.00 and the reg was about 60. They are worth the price for sure

I use the firm professional brush. Bent tines on both sides. Tried the matt zapper and its zap didn't last. Funny thing is the firm one does a better job..

I also use the double wide purple brush, not sure what its called, i got one to use on st poodles and doodles, thats what i save it for!!!
My matt zapper is still working fine, but mind you i only use it on exactly that, matted dogs, not for everyday brushing.

We have a small purple one that we use for shelties, etc and I have used it from time to time on matts. The mat zapper I too only use on mats, not for regular brushing. We do have the double green ones for regular brushing which are great. I also have a small yellow one, it is very soft but it works great on my morkie, not sure why but it actually seems to brush through her coat even when she gets matted (imagine a groomers dog having mats LOL). I also have the gold and silver ones but I have yet to find them good for anything other than cluttering up my drawer.

ooh i heard the silver and gold were amazing.. think one of those will be my next purchase! I only have the matt zapper, what does everyone think of the straight tines vs the bent ones on some of the other brushes?

the bent brushes are definitely most useful for salon use,the straight side is mainly for back fluffing and last minute fine tuning to lift and shape show coats.I do find the straight side good for going over clipper cut dogs to 'finish' them off.
The silver has one side bent/one side straight.

How much does one of these brushes cost and where do you get them?

By the way, crikeymate, how was your trip to the U.S./Canada??
