I've purchased from petedge before, can't complain. But i use rens on a regular basis. When i order over the phone, i only like dealing with diane, i've had my orders mixed up when someone else has done my order. They will also price match, so when hudsons has a sale in BC, they will match there price which is awesome. I got my taxi vac for $699 from rens because they matched hudsons prices!!!
As for retail i haven't got any room for it yet, but what i have done, is started collecting business cards and flyers from canadian distributors. I got some from woofstock, and dogdays of scugog.

if anyone likes ordering from the states, try out the web site wholesalepet.com i believe it is. they carry tones of different retail lines
also i have just ordered lupine collars. they seem to have an amazing policy, $6 flat rate shipping, lifetime guaruntee even if chewed, no mimimum order, kits if you like and great starter pack for first timers. i am getting a whole display of collars and leads for $99 USF. also you can change the patterns if you find th eones you have don;t sell. also 90 day trial and if you don;t like, send it back. freedom petsupply in cambridge also is a distibutor, but they can be difficult to deal with at times from what i have heard. freedom carries the miracle coat brushes, which i love for thick coated dogs or matted ones. i sell them for doodle owners to use! there is also another collar company i have ordered from. angelpetsupply.com they are in thornehill i believe. i like their leather collars, neat patterns and they also have no minimum order and you can change out patterns for new ones. they are a new company.

I have a full pet supply and feed store. We sell stuff like hollistic and super preium pet foods, beds, collars, toys, treats, horse tack, grooming supplies, small animal supplies, bowls, dog houses, crates, farm feeds, shampoos, supplements... the list goes on and on. We regularly order from Leis Pet Distrubting, Maritime Pet, B+R, Pet Science and ASA. For my grooming shampoos and supplies Ive only ever ordered fron Rens. I like their customer service and how they call to tell you they're out of stock on something to see if you want to make adjustments to your order.

If I had just a grooming salon I'd probably order from Rens and Pet Edge. I just got the new Pet Edge catalogue and there is so many cute things at great prices! They only thing I'm worried about is shipping & customs. It's like a guessing game to see how much your bill will be.

http://www.asapet.com/ is ASA, most of their products are lower cost(lower quality) than I would like. I do order cat furniture, small soft sided carriers, rope toys, stainless dishes, etc. from there. Maritime Pet and B+R are Maritime only suppliers... Leis Pet is probably the best all around because they have everything you would need.
