Re: New Kennels
Ooohhhh where did you get them, i need a new set of bank cages. I got a set last may by the company in north bay (i think), and we love them, but they are pricy. Can you send me some info on yours.

Re: New Kennels
Very spiffy!!
Where did you get them from? I don't need anything like that right now, but maybe in the future.

Re: New Kennels
I had them custom made by a very good friend of mine. I will find out $$ from him and let everyone know. They can be made pretty much any size you need. We used them for the first time today and they are great. The white colour is so nice because you can actually see the dog in the kennel. They cleaned up really well too.

Are these kennels made of wood?

Re: New Kennels
Plastic is sooo much better than wood, when i bought my salon, the original bank of cages, were made of wood and were very small, but they lasted 25 years, but boy oh boy, i hadn't realized how much they stunk until i got them outside to go to the trash.
Is there any seams in the cage part where "liquid" could seep into or is it seamless?

Re: New Kennels
There are no seams, that is the best part. The corners are all plastic welded, so nothing can get between the edges. They clean so easily, so far I am totally loving them and haven't found any problems.

Re: New Kennels
I thought they looked plastic, but wasn't sure. I would be interested in the cost of these kennels. Being easy to clean is a big bonus.

Re: New Kennels
I looked into the kennels and it is hard to say what the cost will be because they are completely customized. It just depends on the measurements and configuration you choose.
For what I wanted I was looking at $1500-2000, I can't rmember exactly what the quote was. That was for 3 small kennels on top and one large kennel on the bottom, to fit a specific area I had. I didn't proceed with them because I had a lot of expenses at that time (in the summer) but Rob, the owner of the company was great to deal with. They have all my design drawings on file and when I want to proceed we don't have to go through that process again.
one day I'll do it!

Re: New Kennels
Well, I have been with my husband for 17 years and he still amazes me! He said that he will build me the galvenized steel set of bank-cages!! He is a great handyman, he is the one who built all our cupboards and island to match our hardwood floors! With him making my cages I will save enough to purchase more equipment!

Re: New Kennels
very cool! My husband is also planning on building me some bank cages, but his plan is to make them out of melamine-coated MDF. Maybe I'll run this dry erase board idea past him... see what he says.
Where did you find those cage doors? I'd love to have those to put on my cages, too! All I've been able to find so far are the stainless steel cage doors that fit on travel crates... which I'm less fond of, for some odd reason.
