Grooming in pain!

Post by atlantic44 on November 28th 2007, 2:13 pm

I put my back out last Tuesday, don't know how, I didn't have any heavy dogs that day. I had to cancel a large dog groom on Wed. Anyway, managed to see the chiropractor on Thursday night. He said that I had "blown a rib". He adjusted me, but I still had a headache. I had another appointment this past Monday night, had to be adjusted again. The chiropractor asked me if I had been having headaches, oh yeah, and I never get headaches. Well, wouldn't you know it, today, as I was handing a Shih Tzu back to her owner, yow, my back went out again. Once more I can't even turn to the right, got another headache. I'll put some ice on my back, but I won't be able to see the chiropractor again until next Monday night. The timing of this is not good, I'm only getting busier between now and Christmas. Hope I'll be able to work. Wish me luck.

hear ya....I also hurt my back a week ago, and I was in a lot of pain, I could not bend and had to get the bathers to pick up dogs for me. I go to a massage therapist and she does wonders for my back. Unfortunately the massage is not the ahhhh feel good type......It usually feels like she is ripping out my muscles, but a day later I am much better

Grooming in pain, yup been there, doing that. Sorry you aren't feeling very well Gibby. You might want to try the massage therapy it's much nicer than the chiropractor and it really does help. I go every 2 wks and you can write it off on your taxes!!
I have fibro so pain is an everyday thing for me but intense back pain really sucks.
