Some People.......grrrrr
So i was looking on kijiji and found a listing which basically said something along the line, "bad grooming experience, my dog died, call me for more information" So being the nosy/curious person i am, i called. The lady is from pickering, she had nothing good to say about a friends salon. She said her "14" year old dog was being groomed, and when she brought it home it died an hour later. She had a lot of other mean things to say, but she is basically slandering my friends salon. I couldn't believe it, so i called my "friend" to let her know what was said etc etc. She goes on to tell me that the lady was a good client, brought her 14 year old cockapoo in every month, and has been grooming it for 4 years, it is blind as well. So if you do the math, the dog is really 18!!!! So basically the point of my rant is that you can never be too careful with your clients. Currently i don't have a waiver that clients sign, but i am now going to enforce one!!! My friend is seeking legal action, as this crazy woman is threatening animal abuse etc etc, she wants to sue her and is going to write a column about her through the ORA??? My friend told me she is a real nut job and one of those headaches that we all love to have around!!!!

that is crazy!!! I feel for your friend, hope she figures this all out and that lady pays for what she has done. I can only imagine the things some people say about groomers... we say one thing, they hear the opposite.

Update, as of yesterday i went on kijiji and saw that the lady had taken down her listing, so i wonder if she got in trouble. I only spoke to her on wed night, and it was gone thurs mid day.

Re: Some People.......grrrrr
For this very reason, I refused to do a grooming job last week. A lady called and asked if I could groom her 15 year-old dog and her 7 year-old dog. Neither had every been to a groomer before. I told her I wasn't comfortable grooming the older dog, that she should look for a groomer who works in a vet's office or is near one. I had originally agreed to groom them, but after thinking about it for a day or two called her back and gave her my reasons as to why I shouldn't groom them. She agreed that it made sense, she wasn't angry, so I was glad about that.
