Snow day!

Has anyone else had an unexpected snow day due to the bad weather? Only one person made it in today, the rest have rescheduled to other days. That is a huge problem as I am already overbooked on the remaining days up to Xmas. The only day I had free was Sunday so I put a few dogs in on Sunday morning, hopefully I will get at least a few hours off in the afternoon. The rest I fit in here and there over the next few days. Great, as if my next week wasn't going to be stressful enough. That's what I get for being out in the country. No one want to tackle these roads, not that I blame them, I wouldn't be going anywhere today.

Oh well, at least I get today free. Time to do some Xmas baking!

Actually today was busier than we expected it to be. Yes we did have our fair share of cancellations, but we picked up dogs, we did 35 plus dogs today?!!?! Weird, for the way the weather was.....

Every year when there's a storm evey single dog shows up,surprisingly! And on nice days I get no shows...go figure.My husband said to me the night before the storm"No one will show up tommorrow" and I said"You wait every single one will come"and sure enough they did.

We had a couple of cancellations too but got some extras, snow days just don't happen at Christmas time

Yesterday I had a super busy day(7 dogs, which is a lot for me) and all my morning appts showed up but then none of my afternoon ones did! Luckily none of the missed appointments were in dire need of grooming before Christmas. I had a cancellation list and couldn't get a hold of anyone to come in. Ah well, I had a bunch of orders to do before the holidays so it gave me time to do that.
