Teaching Others To Groom
I've been tossing around the idea to start teaching grooming. I've been looking at the pros and cons of doing so and i'm just wondering if anyone else has thought about teaching as well. I can't seem to find any groomers and we're in desperate need of help right now. We can't keep up with the demand and its really frustrating, our older clients are frustrated they can't get an appointment when they want one and new ones just won't wait either!!! (sorry for the rant)
I'm just wondering what the going rate is for grooming schools these days, how long are they and what do you get for your money.
My goal would be to train someone so they could work for me.

Re: Teaching Others To Groom
Well, I am going for Vet assistant very shortly, (Have to finish one more course of senior Biology) and the school I will be attending also have the grooming course. Their tuition is approx. 2500.00 and the books are another 1000.00 and the grooming tools which can easily ring up another 1200.00
I think you have a great idea going there! There are many out there who would like to take the course but are unable because of the cost or the location of the school. If I had lived down South, I would seek your assistance! My problem is that although I can groom nicely, I have a hard time being firm with the unruly pets! I still manage to get the work done properly, but it can sometimes take me awhile! I hate the idea of possibly hurting, or traumatizing a pet!
