Canada Grooms
I just found out that Canada Grooms is on this weekend in Oakville. Is anyone going? I have been in the past and would like to go again, but the problem is, I spend way too much money!
If I go I will have to leave my credit card at home!LOL

Did you end up going? If yes, how was it? Too bad none of these things are in the North!

Yep, I went and spent too much money! LOL! I only went today (Sunday) but I'm not going tomorrow. I enjoyed the seminar topics. It's amazing what you can pick up just watching someone else groom, especially when they make it look so easy.

I went on seminar too and I love it as always before. Only complain that I had was that that Eric S. talk a lot (2 hours) about Chris's products for grooming terriers. I expected to see Scotie and Westie being groomed instead. That was the only reason I choosed Sunday over Monday. I was a bit disapointed with that, but over all was good seminar.
As for spending I did not spend much. Have tons of staff already.

Re: Canada Grooms
I am kind of wishing I lived down south!! Living in the north has some advantages, like there are never enough groomers for one thing, and life seems a little slower in pace, but I miss the bustle and rush of city life!! LOL. I also find that down here, the groomers (not all, but many) are very competitive and would not use fellow groomers as a hydrant, even if they were on fire! Everyone I spoke to on this site have been friendly and helpful! Thanks everyone!!

Re: Canada Grooms
I liked the talk about terriers but honestly, it was really only an advertisment for Chris Christensen products. The crazy thing is, they didnt' have enough stock of his products so when I (and everyone else) went to get the stuff after the talk, there was none left. Why promote the products then not have enough to sell to people? I would have bought some of the Thick and Thicker gel for my Westie heads. But alas, none left. Oh well, it saved me money.
And yes, it was kind of long. If it had been the last talk of the day I might have snuck out during the break. However, I really wanted to see the talk on Goldens, which was very interesting. I was so inspired I actually groomed my Golden today (I have been putting it off for weeks LOL) I have to say that she has never looks so good (if I do say so myself!). Just a few little detail made all the difference.

Re: Canada Grooms
I really wanted to go this year but my bf stole all my airmiles for a laptop :/ But he does work whenever I want him to for free so I guess it's okay.
I'm gonna cross my fingers and magically hope my miles rack up again before then.
