Tendonitis
Anyone have any tips for easing the pain of tendonitis in the shoulder? Sometimes it gets very painful and it is difficult to lift my arm up.

Re: Tendonitis
Here are a few ideas I can think of, I don’t know if any can help you…
Sometimes if you change the way you use your equipment for instance the way you hold your clippers and shears can help. Also the way you brush.
No big dematt jobs. (This is where I get the most pain!)
Equipment that just makes the job easier like an electric table, “Groomers Helper” or even just an extra grooming arm with a strap that goes around a big dogs belly to hold them up and keep them standing. Ramp for tub. Hydro serge bathing system.
Bather/brusher.
And a healthy diet and exercise helps everything, so that too. lol

Re: Tendonitis
I have had tendonitis in my wrist a few times. I find it helps to ice it four times a day (ick!) and take Advil faithfully every four hours. For your shoulder I would also do some gentle yoga to increase your strength and flexibility.

Re: Tendonitis
I have tendonitis in my left shoulder. My chiropractor gave me some exercises to do, swinging my arm in circles while bent over so that my arm is hanging freely. She also told me to put the flat of my hand on a wall and gradually move my arm up as far as it can go before pain sets in. She said the biggest relief would come from massage. I try not to use my left arm too much. I also got a hydraulic cart that I can raise to the height of the tub, so the big dogs can walk right on and I don't have to lift them. I also have a belly strap so that the dogs can't sit down on me all the time. I also put ice on the shoulder. Hope this is helpful.
