using flea & tick products while pregnant?

It hasn't been an issue yet, but I'm preparing for the situation, if/when it happens.

I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant, and I'm a bit worried about using flea & tick shampoos. Is it just a question of wearing latex gloves & a mask, or should I be doing something else, too? I just want to make sure my baby is safe... I've already miscarried once (6 weeks in. Not caused by anything I used/did... just my body saying "nope... not this time" ), I don't want to go through that again! ...

Rens Pet Depot-not happy

Rens has Ivacs on sale for $289.

When i ordered I chose pink but they called the next day and explained that they were out of pink and every other colour but yellow. I told her I didn't care about the colour and I would take yellow. She then explained that yellow was NOT on sale but rather $429 (regular price).

I told her that is not right and unethical. The flyer does not say certain colours are excluded. They are not sold out.

This practice is called switch and bait and is illegal. ...

This is a question for all groomers who groom from home. Today I had first encounter with fleas! Hard to belive, but after almost a year of working on my own first time I had dog with fleas. Used flea bath and Zodiac, washed my uniform and got rid of towels, sprayed table, bath, floors, cleaned filter in my shop vacuum, put all clipped hair in the garbage bag and took outside of the house (tie the bag tightly)...but I still worry was that enough? My dog is on Revolution thru out the summer and ...

What do you use for dematting. We normally use the stuff but have recently tried Mane & Tail to help with brushouts. It seems to work really well and doesn't leave a residue on the coat. Maybe those horse people are on to something LOL

Is is my imagination or is this a really bad year for fleas? I've hade more dogs come in with fleas in the lst months than I've had since I've started grooming on my own (5 years). O.K., that might be a slight exaggeration but I usually get about 1-2 flea dogs a year. In the last month or two I've had 1-2 a week.

My last gallon jug of fleas shampoo has lasted years, but now with the sudden increase I am needing to buy some more but I don't know what is the best one to buy. Anybody have ...

I've been tossing the idea around about getting a blower that attachs to the wall. I know Oster makes one that accomodates 2 people using it at once, and Hanvey has one that accomodates one person. Has anyone had any experience with a blower like this, can you make any reccomendations?
