Soooooooo are we all ready for the christmas rush????

Post by Admin on November 3rd 2009, 6:10 pm

We are booking up already and it looks like it's going to be a busy one! Anyone got any great ideas for give aways, retail items etc. We have set up our Christmas scene for the photos and have done 4 already! santa

Well we're at least booking already but thats about it. This year i'm planning on doing the same as last year, treat bags, maybe we'll sell our photos this year, and i'm thinking of serging the edges of the bandanna's then with some spakle paint or glue, we can write the dogs name on them. We'll see how that pans out in the next few weeks.

I gave out my first bandana today actually!

Currently I only have two 1.5 hour appointments and two hour appointments left from now until Xmas. I hope no one needs to reschedule! My part timer is booked the week of and before.

I just recieved my bandanas, I went the lazy route and bought them premade. Also ordered a few boxes of those chocolate covered bones, gonna toss those in with a few others that we sell at the store, put in cellophane bags with a tag and bow. Bandanas cost me about 43 cents a piece and the cookies were about 40 cents. I made cookies last year and told myself never again, too much work for my liking!

Elizabeth, you may want to reconsider your packaging, especially if you are packaging them up now for christmas. I'm not sure what cookies you have, but from what i understand, home baked gourmet cookies should be stored in a paper bag, because of the moisture. It all depends on the moisture content of course. If properly stored, cookies should last a few months. That would suck if they went bad before christmas. I would look into the storage recomendations on them.

My name is Shona aka Admin
I'm not sure what we are going to do yet that's why I started this thread ( LOL ) Looking for some new ideas!
We always use special bows and bandannas, last year we gave out little treat bags, one year I made cookies but we now have a lot of clients and I would have to start baking in July 0_0
