Welcome poodlegirl, cute cat and nice colouring job! Is it a clients cat? What did the owners think of the butterfly?

I love the pictures!!!
Where I work offers hair colouring but in the last year I have worked there only about 4 people have asked for it. I don't remember the names but we have sprays and gel type dyes that wash out.
Oh boy if I had a little white dog... well it would never be white.

I've tried manic panic before, and wasn't thrilled with it, i found it hard to keep the dog still while it set then washing it out was a pain in the butt. I really want to try blopens, but i don't know where to get them.

Blo pens are hard to come by in Canada. You can try Walmart or Michaels but we have had to get them from the US in the past.

Our assistant was down there in the fall for a dirt bike rally and she found them at a Walmart!

Check out my bichons tail. The colour was sent to me by another groomer in Australia. I love how vibrant the colour is.

I saw in this thread that a few differnt products were used for dyeing a dogs coat. I noticed that none of the dyes/pens used were products made specifically for use on dogs. Is anyone worried about harming the dogs? confused

The product that I used from Aus. is specifically made for dogs. As for the others they have been tried and used for years by creative competition groomers for years. I would never use something that would harm a dog.

Thank you so much for your reply Admin!! I have never used dyes before and I am just doing some research on it. Do most salons use manic panic or the pens? They must have dyes made for dogs? I appreciate your advice/help.

You can use manic panic, blow pens, chaulk there are several options. There is even a book out in the US on colouring and creative grooming. I will see if I can find the link for you.
Welcome to the board!!!
