Possible dates for the certification

Sound good? I am waiting to hear back from IPG.

Gone2dogs, contact the IPG and they will help you arrange it.

Any word yet or confirmed dates for the workshop and certification? Will we be able to do two breeds in one day?

Still no word back from the IPG? Any idea what the hold up is? Are we still shooting for May 31st or June 7th, or will the whole thing be delayed now?

Re: Certification

OK I have heard back once again from the IPG and they are working on finding us 2 certifiers. They are also looking into finding someone to do a workshop for approximatly 6 wks before the certification.
Whoever is interested you must PM me ASAP and let me know what tests you want to take, 1 or 2 dogs and how many written tests, also who is interested in the workshop. We cannot move forward until I have this information. If you know anyone else who is interested let them know and find out what they plan on doing also.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone, lets do this!!

Do we have a final date for the testing yet? Will this be the only available IPG workshop? I am not interested in a workshop at a huge venue like the All About Pets Show. I have been there several times and it is too loud, and too busy, with poor lighting and screaming children. If I wanted to groom in a fishbowl, I would work in one too. At least two other private venues have been offered for both workshops and certification. Why are they unacceptable?

Hi Stephanie. Please don't assume that this is the only workshop b-4 the Cert. date. I'm quite sure that the other 2 venues are more than fine and will be taken up on. This location was offered and was used last year and the people that did go had no problems. Its good for those that want to certify and might want to compete and do public demos to promote their bussiness in the future. Its easier to impress the public than your peers. It was also a good way to spread the word to the public that there are groomers that are trying to get legimate industry creditentals. Not some "Certification or Licence" from their school. I relize that not all people are comfortable in that type of situation. So the offer is there for those that are and I'm sure there will be another one.

Certification went great, awesome turnout and the certifiers Linda Easton, Lisa Day and Tiffany Tavener (sp?) were fantastic, really nice and very helpful with their critiques and tips.

I had a good time, even though I decided to go for it 3 days before the big day. I was going for my short leg terrier. I did a scottie and passed. Very happy with my marks and I am looking forward to doing the rest!

To anyone who may be interested. We will be holding a certification day at my shop in october, right around the weekend of the 3,4. Let me know if anyone is interested in coming. Space will be limited as we may have to hold this on a workday.
